Soulful and Upbeat
Dermot is one of the greatest artists I've ever heard, and even more so live. His voice is made for songs that come from the heart and his lyrics display that kind of tenderness. I wasn't sure how his background tracks would translate live, because they're so dynamic and technically layered, but he had an amazing band that flowed with his style perfectly. The drummer was on fire! The venue is absolutely stunning and the perfect home for a more intimate show that still accommodated Dermot's rapidly growing audience. It was a beautiful experience to sing along with the audience to songs that mean so much to each person, and then look up from the crowd to an illuminated galaxy ceiling and classic theatrical architecture. I highly recommend seeing Dermot Kennedy if you're ever able, and definitely go to a show at the Aragon if you're in the area!
